Salvation Army – Ways to Give at Christmas
Once again this Christmas season, The Salvation Army Community Resource Centre in Miramichi will be providing food and/or toys and gifts to families in need in our area.
Last year in 2014 we were able to provide 181 families with food hampers and 178 children and youth with toys or gift cards. Businesses, organizations and individuals may all apply to sponsor a family, any size, and choose the type of sponsorship that is best for you.
OPPORTUNITIES TO GIVE:
SPONSOR A FAMILY
Provide food and/or toys and gifts for a family in need this Christmas.
Options Available:
1) sponsor family with food and/or toys and deliver directly to the family
2) sponsor family with food and/or toys and deliver to Salvation Army (anonymously)
3) donate funds OR GIFT CARDS for food and/or toys and Salvation Army will do the shopping
Please call The Salvation Army Family Service office at 622-7826 to register as a sponsor and request the number of children you wish to support. Families will be assigned to sponsors on or about November 18, 2015.
CHRISTMAS KETTLE CAMPAIGN – Nov. 16th – Dec 24th
GIVE THE GIFT OF YOUR TIME – 2 ½ hr shifts Monday through Saturday at several city locations. Call 622-7826 to volunteer.
MAKE A DONATION – GIFT CARDS for children and teens, toys, clothing, mittens, or foot items.
Monetary donations can be made at The Salvation Army Family Service Office at the address below. Make cheques payable to “The Salvation Army CRC”.
FILL A SUNSHINE BAG – FILL a cellophane bag with small gifts for Christmas stocking for children or with toiletries for teens. Sunshine Bags of toiletries are needed for men and women all year round! Pick up the sunshine bags & suggestion list at our office.
