Miramichi Ground Search & Rescue Volunteer Recruitment – If you’re interesting in learning about volunteering with Miramichi Ground Search & Rescue, there will be two information sessions in February: Wednesday, Feb. 7th at 7pm and Saturday, Feb. 10th at 10am. (71 Thornycroft Street, Chatham).
We are actively recruiting new members (who are 18 years old+) who enjoy any of the following:
- GPS
- Map & Compass
- Electronic Mapping
- Radio Communications
- First Aid
- Hiking
- Camping
- Hunting
- Event Planning
- Fundraising
- Educating the public
- Web Design
- Project Lifesaver

The Miramichi Ground Search and Rescue team (MGSAR) is a group of volunteers who are on call 24/7/365 to respond to calls for lost or missing persons. They cover a large area from Boiestown to Neguac and Mount Carleton Provincial Park to Richibucto. It is one of the larger search areas in the province.
